CT Pistol Permit Course

This Course Is Required When Applying For:

  • Connecticut Concealed Carry Pistol Permit
  • Connecticut Non-Resident Pistol Permit
  • New York Pistol Permit for several counties in New York (including Westchester)
  • Florida Non-Resident Pistol Permit
  • Arizona Non-Resident Pistol Permit
  • This course is also accepted when applying for:
    Connecticut Long Gun Eligibility Certificate

There are no prerequisites.


This one day course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. There is a test on the course material at the end of the classroom portion of class followed by live fire shooting at the range. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a course completion certificate via email that same afternoon.

$125. A $25 deposit* is required to register. *$25 deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to a future class if you cannot attend the original class. Please see our refund policy for more information.

Private Classes can be held in our location or yours.  Range time will still be in Bridgeport.

$100 Private Course Fee
may be divided up between however many people you have joining you for class.

For example:

1 Person Private Class = $225 ($125 course fee, plus $100 private)

2 Person Private Class = $350 ($125 course fee x 2 people, plus $100 private fee)
